    b.To talk about a friend.

    c.To talk about future plans

2.Ability targets:

    a. To listen for and identify specific information

b. To interpret information and obtain a general understanding of the people involved in a conversation.

c. To respond to written text and information obtained from listening.

d. To select specific and relevant details, to consolidate information and complete two letters to the editor of a magazine.

e. To use adjectives to describe friends and young people

3.Emotion targets:

    Let the students make a future plan and make them set a detail aim

.Difficult points:

1. To formulate questions about people’s personalities

2. To respond to questions about people’s appearance and personalities

3. After listening to the tape and can fill in the missing information

4.use the phrases the students can write their own future plans

.Teaching procedures

PartA

1. Ask less able students to read the list of future plans before playing the recording. Check understanding. Encourage more able students to guess the meaning of phrases.

2. Invite students to talk about their own and their partners’ future hopes.

3. Play the recording. Students listen to the recording and put a tick next to each correct phrase as they hear it. Ask them to read the phrases they have
