Welcome to the unit
Teaching aims:
In this section, students will be asked to talk about some mysterious or unexplained phenomena, including evidence of UFOs, the possible existence of Yetis and the Loch Ness Monster, reasons for building Stonehenge and the pyramids.
Teaching difficult points:
Students are expected to make full use of resources and share their imaginative ideas with each other by participating in all the activities.
Teaching procedures:
Setp1.Ask students to read the instructions and focus on the five pictures and illustrations first. Arouse their interest by asking them the following questions:
Do the five pictures have something in common? If so, what is it? (unexplained; no satisfactory answers; mysterious; no evidence...)
Can scientists explain these phenomena? |
